Business, film, media, television and technology lawyer.

Lawyer, Advocate

Michael Haskins represents film, television and new media projects, production companies, technology companies, and individuals. He provides guidance relating to acquisition, development, distribution, financing, formation, IP, licensing, production, and sales. He has successfully guided numerous television and film properties and some of the largest companies in the media creation and technology business.
In 2012, Michael became the President of CINEMA (Colorado Innovators of New Entertainment Media and Arts) where he presented economic analysis, proposed legislation and advocated on behalf of the Colorado Office of Film, Television and New Media and succeeded in bringing Colorado its first competitive incentive in over 20 years. This incentive is responsible for more than $37 million in new production and more than 800 jobs to Colorado.
He also sits on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Media Leaders Roundtable, with representatives from some of Colorado’s largest employers, in the creation of a comprehensive trade association to promote media creation, distribution and packaging within Colorado.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Michael built datacenters all over the US. His hands-on technical knowledge and understanding of technology innovation make him uniquely qualified to guide start-ups and growth-stage technology companies.
